“Adopt a Trail of Giglio” is born, a project designed to actively involve citizens, visitors, and operators in the protection and enhancement of the territory.
The initiative also stems from the need to address a particularly challenging period for the island, aiming to strengthen collaboration and a sense of community.
Trail maintenance has always been a fundamental activity: with about 60 kilometers of paths, the hiking network represents a valuable heritage, capable of telling the story of the territory through nature, landscapes, and history.
The project offers everyone the opportunity to contribute concretely to the care of the trails.
Through a voluntary donation, it is possible to contribute directly to the maintenance of trails or specific sections, which will then undergo cleaning and restoration work. It should be noted that not all trails can be adopted: the initiative exclusively concerns paths located outside the protected area of the Tuscan Archipelago National Park. The following trails are therefore excluded: 301, 302, 302A, 303, 304, 305, 306, 307, 308, 324, 324A, 325, 326, and 330A.
Cleaning interventions will then be carried out on the designated trail.
Every contribution makes a difference: a simple, tangible, and visible gesture, especially one that is useful. To optimize fundraising, the placement of a plaque is planned for larger donations, covering production costs and directing the remainder entirely to the cause.
To participate, donations can be made at the office or via bank transfer, indicating in the payment description: “Donation for trail maintenance” …
ASSOCIAZIONE TURISTICA PRO LOCO ISOLA DEL GIGLIO E GIANNUTRI
IBAN: IT 41B010 307226 0000000055349
After the donation, a regular receipt will be issued, valid for tax deduction purposes; for this, the tax code and residential address are required.
“Adopt a Trail of Giglio” aims to strengthen the bond between community and territory, promoting active participation in the care of the island. Taking care of the trails means taking care of the Island of Giglio.
Every contribution received represents an important sign of attention and closeness to the territory.
