Summer in the Park on Giglio Island: Discover the Full Programme of Activities
Summer on Giglio Island is even more special with “Summer in the Park”, the rich programme of excursions, workshops and experiences organised by the Tuscan Archipelago National Park. It’s a great opportunity to discover the island’s landscapes, biodiversity, history and traditions through activities designed for adults, families and children.
Here’s the weekly programme.
🌿 Tuesday: Nature Adventures for Children (16 June – 8 September)
Every Tuesday, young explorers can take part in activities dedicated to discovering the natural environment of Giglio Island.
Through mineral workshops or woodland walks, children learn about trees, plants and local wildlife while having fun.
Meeting point: 10:30 am, Piazza Gloriosa (Giglio Castello)

🌅 Wednesday: A Different Experience Every Week
Every Wednesday features a rotating programme of guided hikes, tastings, boat trips and nature experiences. Each date offers a different activity.
🥾 Sunset Trekking
A scenic hike from Giglio Campese to the Faraglioni sea stacks along a moderately challenging trail, ending with a swim at Cala Pozzarelli.

🍇 Discover the Orchard – Trekking & Tasting
A guided walk from Giglio Castello to Michele Galeotti’s orchard and vineyard in Scopeto, followed by a tasting of locally produced food and Giglio wines.

⛵ Sunset Boat Tour with a Park Guide
Sail along the island’s coastline to discover its marine habitats, geology and biodiversity. During the excursion you’ll have the chance to spot marine wildlife, go snorkelling and swim in crystal-clear waters, followed by a sunset toast.

🏛️ Thursday: Day Trip to Giannutri Island (18 June – 10 September)
Every Thursday you can join a full-day excursion to Giannutri Island, including round-trip boat transport from Giglio Porto and a guided historical tour.
The programme includes a visit to the Roman Villa of the Domizi Enobarbi family, plus free time for swimming or visiting the famous Labyrinth Mosaic (entrance fee payable on site).
