GIGLIO OPEN AIR
Giglio Open Air is a photography review that aims to display upcoming photographers.
The exposition path is in the open and laid out in a scenographic way inside the walls of Giglio Castello.
Tens of photographs in large format will be accompanied by small lateral events such as photographic workshops, gatherings and musical performances.
It is an occasion to start dreaming again.
Expositions and presentations at Giglio Island from May 29th to October 3rd, 2021
For this year’s theme, a great matter was chosen that in this historic moment in time can become a pillar for hope.
“Tomorrow is another day: nature and landscapes”
The Giglio Open Air photo festival offers an immersive and itinerant experience. Around thirty images in large format will cover the walls, plazas’ and typical alleyways and paths of Giglio Castello, which with its magnificent building heritage offers a perfect framework. The public space becomes a scenic place, shared and accessible by anyone, for free.
The festival can therefore be followed by a public of passionate viewers, as well as a public of curious onlookers.
The photo festival Giglio Open Air 2021 is organized and managed by the cultural association “Hey there! I am using theater”.
Under the artistic direction of Andrea Giannoni and Andrea Rum, every photograph will stimulate the spectator’s curiosity into searching into the intimacy of their own gaze, the tender nature of Nature in all of its forms.
The Giglio Open Air photo festival aims to offer recognition to the place we live and discover our future points of view of reality.
The Giglio Open Air 2021 Photofestival gallery is online, set up in Giglio Castello in the plaza surrounding the locale dei Lombi; showing is the selection of candidates of the Photography Competition related to the festival. The link to the gallery : shorturl.at/efkGO
