Dreaming of summer, fast approaching.

Crystal clear waters and unspoiled nature.

Giglio is the perfect place to spend your holiday by the sea in close contact with nature, within the Tuscan Archipelago National Park. The island’s rugged, wild beauty is preserved intact along all its territory, with the sea reflecting its deep blue color upon the steep granite cliffs. However the coastline becomes smooth and welcoming in the myriad of bays and coves that can be reached by boat or by walking along the paths that cross the fragrant Mediterranean scrub that offers panoramic views of undisputed beauty.

Then there are the wonderful beaches to be discovered that have won the Blue Flag award, the international recognition that rewards not only the excellent sea but also other environmental indicators that contribute to creating a perfect holiday. Caldane, Cannelle, Arenella and the large sandy bay of Campese have free beaches as well as equipped bathing establishments, there is always a corner of paradise tailored to everyone’s liking.

Discover the island all year round!

Beyond the sea there is more!

The almost primordial charm of unspoiled nature attracts those who want to spend a holiday in the name of simplicity. Scents of scrub, vineyards clinging to steep slopes overlooking the sea, endless paths to explore the length and breadth of the island, rocky seabeds of rare beauty where you can dive into the deep blue sea, an enchanted country life that flows pleasantly in the villages. It’s always perfect for those who love simple pleasures.

However the island is also a treasure trove of opportunities to thrill every visitor all year round; open-air tourism is always fascinating, from running, trekking and cycling along a dense network of ancient paths of over 60 km overlooking the sea, immersed in the scents of scrub and saltiness.

#Manifesto

Alive, authentic, unique.

We do not know when we will be able to return to the normality of our lives, to the innate sociability that enlivens us. This terrible epidemic has brought to the fore the strong desire to discover authentic lifestyles, immersed in an intact and protected nature that dialogue with close-knit communities that are the guardians of ancient traditions.

Today even more than ever on Giglio, between nature and the sea, those values of Italy’s yesteryear have never died out. The islanders here live in praise of the simple life that allows passions more opportunities to blossom, with the slow pace that reminds us that we are alive. Here, the island of Giglio is alive, authentic, and genuine.

We all have a strong desire to imagine a near future finally free from the pandemic. Panta rei – everything passes – the ancient Greeks said. Sooner or later, all of this will end; we await you.

Events & Appointments

The desire to get back together.

The containment measures of the pandemic and social distancing could lead to limitations to the traditional events that characterise the season. We will be able to tell you more in the coming weeks.

For now, we want to tell you about the normality of the summer season of our island, marked by the events that accompany the traditional island patronal festivals: San Lorenzo in the Port, San Rocco in Campese and San Mamiliano in Giglio Castello. Tales of boats and fatigue with the rowing Palio, excitement and lights for the Campese festival and an incredible charm for the Grape Festival and open cellars in the alleys of the Castle. These experiences should not be missed and we hope to be able to live them again soon, with even more joy.
